How to File a Request
The Illinois Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) provides the public the right to access government documents and records. Submit your request using the form below or contact our FOIA officers directly.

Submit Request
Complete the form with details about the records you seek. Be as specific as possible about dates, names, and document types.

Acknowledgment
We’ll acknowledge receipt within 5 business days for standard requests and 21 business days for commercial requests.

Processing & Response
We review and prepare the requested documents, then provide them within the timeline specified by FOIA.
