Sunny Hill Park sits on 19.56 acres of land, located at 1480 W. Irving Park Road.

It’s always a sunny day at Sunny Hill! This park features endless amounts of fun with a 9-hole disc golf course, tennis courts, a basketball court, a skate/BMX park, two playgrounds, a seasonal Splash Pad, and a seasonal sled hill. Other amenities include three shelters, a walking pathway, and public restrooms.

SPLASH PAD

The Sunny Hill Park Splash Pad is a free recreational area with multiple spray devices for water play with little to no standing water.

The Splash Pad is open to all ages, typically from May – September.

If you would like to visit with a group of 10 or more people, a rental is required.

The splash pad is now closed for the year. Hours of operation are 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. daily from May 30-September 1.

Groups of (10) ten or more people wanting to use the splash pad must obtain a free special-use permit. To obtain a permit, please contact Recreation Manager Chris Fetterman at cfetterman@spdcares.com.

SPLASH PAD RULES
  • Appropriate dress is required. Only clean swim apparel may be worn. Swim diapers are required for infants and toddlers.
  • The use of the splash pad is at your own risk. Users are responsible for determining if the conditions are safe and appropriate for the ages using the facility.
  • Children under the age of 8 should always be supervised by an adult (16 years +). One adult per three (3) children.
  • Street shoes, clothes, or diapers are not allowed. Bare feet and aqua socks are permitted.
  • Please do not drink splash pad water. The water is not suitable for drinking.
  • Running, rough play, or climbing is strictly prohibited.
  • In-line skates, skateboards, or bikes are strictly prohibited within the fenced-in area.
  • All food, drinks, strollers, containers, coolers, and gum must be kept outside of the fenced-in area.
  • A maximum of 100 people are permitted to use the splash pad at one time.
  • All spectators/pets must remain outside the fenced-in area at all times.
  • Balloons are strictly prohibited. Balloons can cause damage to splash pad spray heads and filters, causing shutdowns and costly repairs.
  • Do not block the drains. Blocking the drains will damage the motor and result in the closure of the splash pad.

Private rentals are available from 9:30 – 11a.

DISC GOLF

Sunny Hill Park’s 9-hole disc golf course is open to the public free of charge.

Hole 1 is located near the top of the hill in the southeast corner of the park.

SLED HILL

The sled hill at Sunny Hill Park is open from sunrise to sunset. Users must use at their own risk.

STREAMWOOD PARK DISTRICT SUNNY HILL PARK SLED HILL RULES

  • The sled hill is open daily from sunrise to sunset.
  • Children should be accompanied by an adult at all times.
  • Users must climb the sled hill along the left side of the slope only. Sledding is only permitted in designated areas.
  • Sled at your own risk. Users are responsible for determining if the conditions are safe, and if users are physically fit and properly skilled for sledding.
  • Inspect the sled hill before beginning.
  • The building or forming of any bumps, jumps, moguls, or holes is strictly prohibited.
  • Pets or animals of any kind are not allowed in the sled hill area.
  • Glass or metal containers are not allowed.
