The floors in the aerobics studio, dance studio, and gymnasium at Park Place Family Recreation Center in partnership with RUSH Physical Therapy, 550 S. Park Blvd., will be stripped and refinished on Tuesday, August 30 and will remain off-limits to the public until Tuesday, September 6. Park Place will continue with regular business hours and operations during this time with the exceptions listed below:
Gymnasium
Gym rentals/programs will be postponed
Dance Studio
Programs/room use will be postponed
Group Fitness (Aerobics Studio)
All classes will be held outdoors in the lower lot (weather permitting). Participants must still check in inside.
Fitness & Aquatic Center
If the fumes coming from the aerobics room become too overwhelming, the Streamwood Park District has made arrangements with the Bartlett Park District to allow members to utilize their fitness and aquatic center from August 30-September 5. Labor Day hours for Bartlett are 5:30-11 a.m. This does not include use of Bartlett’s group fitness classes or gymnasium.
