Fast Track Grant Public Hearing & Remote Participation

Pursuant to the Open Meetings Act, and in accordance with Governor J.B. Pritzker’s Executive Orders issuing stay at home orders and enabling the Streamwood Park District to schedule and convene fully remote participation public meetings by Park District officials and members of the public, notice is hereby given that a remote participation public hearing will be held by the Board of Commissioners of the Streamwood Park District at 7:00 p.m. on June 1, 2020, to provide interested parties an opportunity to express their views on the proposed Rebuild Illinois Fast-Track Public Infrastructure Grant (RIFTPI)/Rebuild Illinois Public Infrastructure Grant project.

What is DCEO Rebuild Illinois Fast Track Rebuild Illinois Program

Funded by the Illinois Department Commerce and Economic Opportunity, $25 million is available statewide on a first-come competitive basis. The objective of this program is to stimulate the economy in the wake of the COVID-19 health crisis by quickly getting Illinoisans back to work on public infrastructure projects that are valuable to their communities.

The grant covers 100% of the project cost; up to $5 million per project. Projects Must be Shovel Ready- Meaning that construction will begin within 90 days of the grant being awarded.
