Butterfly Park Reopens

a playground with a playground set

The fencing has been removed and Butterfly Park, 1010 Woodland Heights Blvd., is now reopen for the public to enjoy!

The Streamwood Park District was awarded $467,081 in Open Space Land Acquisition and Development (OSLAD) grant funding from the State of Illinois for the renovation of the park.

Among the improvements include the new poured in place artificial playground surface, new pedestrian path surrounding the park, new park shelter and ADA accessible benches and considerable landscape restoration. Additional plantings and work in the new pollinator garden are still to come before the official grand reopening sometime next year.

But for now, we invite you to spread your wings and enjoy the new and improved Butterfly Park.
