The Streamwood Park District recently received a $200K grant from the Illinois Department of Commerce and Economic Opportunity (DCEO) to replace the “tot lot” playground located just outside the preschool wing at Park Place Family Recreation Center in partnership with RUSH Physical Therapy, 550 S. Park Blvd.
Here is a tentative project timeline:
- 10/31/24: Construction fencing will be installed at Park Place Tot Lot.
- 11/4/24: The old playground equipment and mulch will be excavated and removed from the site.
- 11/6/24: The new concrete curb will be installed.
- 11/13/24: The new playground equipment is scheduled to arrive and be installed.
- 11/25/24: The new poured-in-place artificial surfacing is scheduled to be installed.
- Spring 2025: New fencing, benches, and more!
