The Streamwood Park District acquired eleven acres of land at 360 W. Schaumburg Road, formerly occupied by landscaping businesses.

The property, purchased for $1.2 million, is named in honor of former owner Ian Stevenson and will serve as the new home for the Parks Department.

According to Executive Director Jeffrey Janda, the centralized location will improve operational efficiency by consolidating equipment and supplies.
